The Information & Technology Department is the driving force behind the digital transformation of the Municipal Corporation. It is responsible for the computerization of all departments, implementation of e-Governance systems, and development of digital citizen services.
Key responsibilities include enabling online collection of property tax, water charges, and other dues, offering digital payment solutions to citizens, and digitizing administrative files, billing, and expense management.
The department also manages the maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensures regular data backups, and handles the procurement and upkeep of computer hardware and software.
