The Municipal Solid Waste Management Department is a key department of the Municipal Corporation tasked with maintaining cleanliness and protecting the urban environment. As per the Maharashtra Municipal Solid Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2006, the department is responsible for the scientific collection, segregation, and disposal of non-biodegradable solid waste generated within the municipal limits.The department ensures door-to-door garbage collection through Rickshaws or Ghantagadis, collects waste from commercial establishments and public spaces, and carries out the transportation and appropriate disposal of the collected waste.Its core objective is to maintain a clean, hygienic, and pollution-free city, while providing effective and sustainable waste management services to all citizens.Solid Waste Processing Project: To process and dispose of waste in a scientific manner at Samdoli Road and Miraj-Bedag Road."
